Recommended MokiTouch 2 iOS Setup

Recommended MokiTouch 2 iOS Self-Setup

We get asked by customers all the time how we recommend they use our kiosk app, MokiTouch 2, in the field and how they should setup their devices. The following is an attempt to walk through our most common setup, MokiTouch 2 on iOS devices. At the end of this article you will have enrolled several devices in Moki, configured the MokiTouch 2 app for your desired user experience, gotten devices ready to ship to their destination and know how to lock them down once they are ready to be used.

To help you feel grounded through this process, here is a brief synopsis of what you’ll be doing and why.

  1. Setup Moki account to register with Apple

  2. Create enrollment settings to be installed on the devices

  3. Use Apple Configurator, a program that allows you to get special Admin permissions from Apple

  4. Enroll in Moki, install the apps and configure Blueprints for future device enrollment

  5. Use Blueprints to setup the rest of your devices

  6. Deploy devices and lock them down

Step 1: Setting Up Your Moki Acount

Login to Moki by clicking the link in the email invitation sent by our Customer Success Team and accept our terms. If you are having trouble logging in, click here

    4.

    6. It may take a minute for these settings to get to your devices. There is no harm in reapplying the template if some of the devices didn’t get it.

Step 10: Sending Devices to their Location

If you know the WiFi credentials of the network(s) these devices will be on at their final destination we can create the WiFi profiles for them now and place them on the device. If you don’t know the WiFi credentials you come back to this when you do, even if it is after the devices have reached their destination. We recommend shipping devices in a powered off state.

Saving Individual WiFi Credentials to Devices

    1. Click Change App and select Moki Management then click the iOS Profiles tab

      Screen Shot 2015-10-20 at 4.45.32 PM.png

      Screen Shot 2015-10-20 at 4.49.48 PM.png

    8.

    9. Repeat this process if additional WiFi networks need to be saved on this, or other devices. You will want to power down the devices before shipping them to their locations.
