Partnership represents first of its kind to be powered by Yelp, Living Social and Groupon
Salt Lake City, Utah; April 29, 2013 – MokiMobility today announced a partnership with Hotel Tablet Themes (HTT), enabling HTT to provide hotel guests nationwide with localized deals and information on services and entertainment via iPads located in hotel lobbies.
The partnership will bring the first extended offering of Yelp to consumers outside of its traditional online or mobile distribution. Tourists and business travelers at select U.S. locations can now access proximity-based, geo-targeted deals through iPads in hotel lobbies and can have coupons and information sent directly to their mobile device(s). In addition to being powered by Yelp, the partnership presents guests with access to similar deals through LivingSocial and Groupon.
“Our largest concern with rolling-out out such an initiative is around the monitoring and management of connectivity,” said Kevin Williams, CEO of Hotel Tablet Themes. “In order to successfully offer business travelers, tourists and hotel guests our services, we needed to be able to ensure these devices would be connected at all times. It was clear during this lengthy and carefully thought-out process that MokiMobility was the only solution provider able to deliver what we needed in order to make this project successful.”
As part of this relationship, HTT has integrated MokiMobility’s MokiManage SDK into its existing iOS application, enabling remote monitoring and management for iPads deployed at hotels by HTT. Phase one of the roll-out will include multiple iPads, with the final deployment resulting in 100+ total locations nation-wide. Hotels include Holiday-Inn Express, Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn and Clarion. In addition to deals and information, guests can also access personal email and social platforms.
“Whether it’s printing a boarding pass, checking in or out of the hotel, or browsing for deals and information on local services and entertainment; hotel guests will immediately see the benefits of these tablet kiosks,” said Ty Allen, President at MokiMobility. “HTT’s partnership with Global Vision’s hotel management arm demonstrates the high demand within hospitality for consumers to have convenient, user friendly, technologically advanced access to such information – we are excited MokiMobility is at the heart of this trend.”
Based in Lehi, Utah, MokiMobility is the first and only cloud platform for managing, monitoring and securing purposed mobile devices as mobile point-of-sale solutions, kiosks, digital signage and more. Independent software vendors (ISVs) and solution providers can integrate the management and monitoring features of MokiManage directly into their own tablet solutions running on the iPad, iPod Touch and Android devices. As a result, tablet solution customers have greater control over the complete experience, enabling more engaging and new customer experiences leveraging iOS and Android tablets in new ways.
