Columbia has multiple iOS apps that reinforce Columbia’s rich outerwear and sportswear heritage. These apps educate users on essential outdoors skills e.g. tying knots for climbing, tools for backcountry etc. Customers download the apps on their devices and engage with brand experiences.
Columbia wanted to re-create the same digital experiences in stores. Columbia wanted to remind customer of its outdoor heritage and further engage customers with familiar, relevant and fun experiences. Columbia wanted to close the loop on the marketing messages customers experience outside the store.
Columbia installed multiple Customer Facing Devices (digital kiosks) in store to recreate and reinforce the digital messages. These Digital Kiosks engage customer via fun interactivity and subtly reinforce Columbia’s leadership in outdoors apparel. And, this closed the marketing loop.
