Outform releases innovative iDISPLAY Thermometer for safer public spaces—with Moki remote management built-in

1 May 2020 – Miami, FL: Global retail innovation agency Outform has launched its iDISPLAY Thermometer, designed to help retailers provide safer spaces for customers once the COVID-19 lockdown is lifted.

Outform’s iDISPLAY Thermometer uses thermal imaging to read body temperatures of individuals within three feet of distance in just two seconds. Because the technology uses facial detection (a technology widely used in mobile devices), users can bypass concern about touching surfaces or coming in close contact with other contaminated individuals. This feature also allows for facial capturing which can be used to relay data and images of users with a fever and enable seamless management in high traffic locations.

By utilizing the world’s leading German technology in infrared thermopile arrays known as the Heimann Sensor, iDISPLAY Thermometer is able to provide rapid and accurate results. The Thermometer’s facial detection feature has been programmed to capture temperature readings of users who are wearing protective masks, however, will not proceed if the user’s face is being obstructed to skew the temperature. Additionally, the Thermometer eliminates cost of dedicated personnel, while reducing the risk of contaminating users whose temperatures are being taken. Compatible with automatic entrances, iDISPLAY is also capable of restricting entrance only to individuals who have passed the reading.

The iDISPLAY Thermometer is FCC-certified and is available with several different stands, including a plinth for checkout counters, to suit various retail environments.

Ariel Haroush, CEO at Outform, says: “Hygiene and social distancing is going to be crucial in the coming months and is likely to be an ingrained behavior for years to come. We will need to give shoppers peace-of-mind in retail environments, if we want them to return to stores – our next step is to combat pandemic anxiety once lockdown is lifted.

“The device is designed to be flexible to work across various parts of the economy, including gyms, bars, offices and municipal spaces; the iDISPLAY Thermometer is a tool to help companies get back to business safely at a time of heightened global anxiety. ”

Outform has also partnered with Moki to provide remote management, remote control, and remote monitoring of the iDISPLAY Thermometer. This enables IT admins to lock down devices, allows for remote troubleshooting, and provides customizable alerts. Moki’s cloud-based platform is designed to simplify the deployment and management of the iDISPLAY Thermometer, protecting your investment and saving valuable time. All iDISPLAY Thermometer units come preinstalled with Moki, meaning that enrollment and setup is quick and easy.
