Android Enterprise Policy Updates
- Additional Options added under Policy->General Settings->Location Mode:
- Previous Options: High Accuracy, Sensors Only, Battery Saving, and Off.
- New Options: Enforced, User Choice, Battery Saving, Disabled, Off
- For existing policies, all settings have been mapped automatically to corresponding new options
- Updated Camera Access Settings under Policy->General Settings:
- Previous setting option for Camera Disabled has been removed
- A new setting, Camera Access, has been added
- Options for the new setting are, Unspecified, User Choice, Disable, and Enforce
- For existing policies, all settings have been mapped automatically to corresponding new options
- Updated Microphone Access Settings under Policy->General Settings:
- Previous setting for Unmute Microphone Disabled has been removed
- A new setting, Microphone Access, has been added
- Options for the new setting are, Unspecified, User Choice, Disable, and Enforce

- Previous setting for Auto Time Required has been removed
- A new setting, Auto Date And TimeZone, has been added

- New Assistant Content Policy section under Policy->General Settings:
- Controls whether AssistContent is allowed to be sent to a privileged app such as an assistant app. AssistContent includes screenshots and information about an app, such as package name. This is supported on Android 15 and above
- Options available for this new settings are, Unspecified, Disallow, and Allow
- New Screen Brightness Mode Settings under Policy->General Settings:
- Options for the new setting are, Unspecified, User Choice, Automatic, and Fixed
- When Automatic or Fixed set, users can set a specific brightness level from 1 to 255
- New Screen Timeout Mode Settings under Policy->General Settings:
- Options available for this new setting are Unspecified, User Choice, and Enforced
- When Enforced is set, user must enter a Screen Timeout duration. A value entered in seconds, ending in ‘s’
