Problem 

I get an error when trying to push an update to my app from Moki that says, App is not managed.

Solution

This is stating that the app was not sent to the device after the MDM profile was placed on the device. Only managed apps can be updated from Moki. In this case you will need to update from the store OR remove the app, push it from Moki and then you can update future versions from Moki.
