iPads are the central feature of a new exhibit at the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame. “Signature Reds” is an exhibit displaying the signatures of all Reds plays accompanied by an interactive display with the career stats for all of the players, regardless of whether they played 1 game or 500.
Visionary Moments built the whole interactive experience, combining the the player’s career data with memorabilia to create something more immersive for the fans. The content is displayed through the Media Author app and a cloud-based content platform. Media Author had all of the content management features to make it easy to update the exhibit and change content from any web-browser, but Visionary Moments wanted to secure and remotely manage the iPads as well.
Visionary Moments came to us to complete their interactive display by integrating device management and remote monitoring directly into Media Author. Visionary Moments uses the MokiManage to give them more insights into how the display is running at any given moment, watching things like: battery levels, memory utilization and even viewing what is displayed on the screen directly. They manage the devices by locking them down, so no one can close their app, and to manage policies like wifi and remove default apps.
So far, the fans love the exhibit and the Visionary Moments team can rest easy at night knowing their display is always running. Check out what Visionary Moments is doing, they have several clients like the NFL, Fresno State and Colorado Sports Hall of Fame. Their approach to combining memorabilia, photography, artifacts and artwork with interactive displays on the iPad give a whole new dimension to exhibits and displays. iPads and great apps like those from Visionary Moments make it really easy for museums and other attractions to give their guests more engaging experiences.
