MokiMobility Teams-up with LinkPOS to Bring First mPOS Application to the App Store that meets PCI Guidelines

MokiMobility and its partners continue to look ahead at the future of mPOS

SALT LAKE CITY, May 2, 2013 — MokiMobility today announced a partnership with LinkPOS, bringing the first mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) application to Apple’s iTunes app store that meets the PCI Security Standards Council’s newest set of mPOS secure payment guidelines. Released earlier this year by the credit card standards group, these newest set of guidelines represent the most comprehensive recommended security considerations for mobile point-of-sale to-date.

As part of this relationship, LinkPOS has integrated the MokiManage SDK into its existing iOS application, enabling remote monitoring and management for iPads deployed by LinkPOS to its customers, including small to medium sized businesses such as retailers and restaurants. Additionally, LinkPOS will now have the ability to review device productivity logs, both passive and active, which are customize-able for specific device states—LinkPOS will also now receive real-time alerts on wi-fi connectivity issues, further preventing device downtime, promoting increased customer service and satisfaction.

“Our main priority at LinkPOS is to offer the highest level of support and service to our customers while remaining focused on securing their devices,” said Steve Walter , President of LinkPOS. “To be able to ensure their point-of-sale devices are in constant lock-down and are functioning as purposed tablets plays a big role in their success, productivity and overall customer satisfaction—it was imperative during our search to find a partner capable on enhancing our solution in this fashion along with the ease of use and seamless integration such as that offered by MokiMobility.”

“iPad and mobile device adoption is growing and accelerating in all business sectors. Businesses are using mobile devices to transform the way commerce happens from food trucks to multi-national retailers,” said Tom Karren , CEO of MokiMobility. “What has been missing in early deployments is management, monitoring and security. These features enable scale and reliability. We are pleased to be the first provider positioned to offer these features to mPOS developers like LinkPOS.”

LinkPOS’ MokiMobility SDK application integration and device rollout is currently underway across a large number of small to medium sized businesses throughout the U.S., with the application itself available in the iTunes app store later this month. The MokiManage SDK is available for developers to integrate into their own mobile solutions.
