Announcing $2m MokiMobility Seed Funding Round

Today we are very pleased to announce that we have closed a $2 million Seed Funding round. We cannot wait to put that money into action to continue to grow our team and expand the only platform for securing, monitoring and managing purposed mobile devices.

We have grown from 4 employees to almost 30 in the last year, all in the pursuit of enabling businesses to leverage mobile devices in entirely new ways. In the past twelve months we have released MokiTouch the first iPad and Android kiosk app with remote management, support for Apple Configurator and iOS 6, Remote App Settings Management and App Monitoring, Fleet Deployment features, and the Purposed Mobile Solutions Center.

Purposed Mobile Solutions are growing

Even more awesome is the traction we are to seeing in the market for managing, monitoring and securing tablets and smartphones for use as purposed devices. Our management platform has been deployed across many different verticals, including: retail, restaurants, hospitality, higher education, healthcare, and property management to name a few. Some of our customers include: United Airlines, UC Davis, US Airforce, Fanzz Sports Apparel, Trinity Property Solutions, InTouch Technology, and Involvio.

But today we are pleased to announce that Revel Systems has partnered with us to build the first iPad point-of-sale system to meet the new PCI security council guidelines for securing mobile point-of-sale solutions. Revel is the leader in iPad point of sale for restaurants, grocery and retail businesses. With thousands of iPads deployed as point-of-sale, Revel will be using our platform to secure these devices as a payment terminal and remotely manage them for their customers. Revel will integrate our technology into their offering to provide their customers with comprehensive management and monitoring capabilities while also providing the most secure mobile point-of-sale solution available.

Thank you to our investors

This seed round was lead by investment firm Epic Ventures. Among others, individual investors include Spencer Tall, partner at Allegis Capital and Tyler Smith at Fusion-IO.

We have big plans for 2013 and this new round of funding. We will continue to grow our team and expand our platform to support an ever growing list of use cases for purposed mobile solutions.
